the ultimate summer house shopping list

Where is your head right now...on these official first days of summer? We're getting out of school mode and into vacation mode. And I hope you have a trip or two ahead of you. You are beginning to visualize the good times in the sand and drinks on the deck.

But we've all been there, that moment when you pop open a Corona Light and as you automatically reach for a slice of lime, you realize....this house, that is not yours, that is not stocked with all your standard, go to favorite must-haves, does not just naturally have a drawer full of limes!

So, you may be visiting a beach house or lake house, you know, the ones where you have to bring the sheets, the linens and all the way to the kitchen sink. Or you may be fortunate to have your own beach house but it needs a fridge & pantry-refill after your sporadic "90 degree" spring weekend sprints. Either boat you are in, read on to ensure many lime-filled summer days ahead!

This list will keep you from mumbling the following....

"I can go without ketchup on my burger....I guess..."

"Vodka and soda doesn't really need refreshing slices of lemon, lime & grapefruit, I think it's cleaner this way....."

"We can make s'mores with some random crackers and this leftover candy bar from the trip up here....."

"I thought every house ever built just came with salt......"

So here you go...the ultimate "beach house/lake house/not your every day house" stock it and get on with your vacation shopping list.....with just a couple of notes....

*This list is not to be printed and taken to the store. You go online and order from the closest store to the house you'll be in and pick it up on your way there (or even better-have it delivered!).

*We buy all of our meat (chicken, steak, burgers, hot dogs, etc) from Costco and pack it in a cooler. Great deals on alcohol there, too!
