Are bananas bad for you?
I mean, are they going to make you fat? Ruin your detox? Too much sugar? High Glycemic?
Whatever buzz words you have heard and whatever you think a banana will do to you, take a step back and really think about this.
We have gotten to a point of being so healthy, that we are weeding out certain fruits and veggies that are “less healthy” than others.
While there is truth to that for sure, you can sometimes take it to the extreme and put certain foods in certain categories without realizing if it’s true for you or not.
Think about it
If you are eating a banana, you are not going to:
• Eat, like, 4 of them
• Yell at your children for eating too many bananas
• Binge on bananas
• Raid the fridge at midnight looking for bananas
I am on the healthy, whole foods, green juice, protein powder bandwagon as much as or more than you are. But there are times when you have to take a step back, release all the hype, and recognize what’s good for you-not for Gwyneth Paltrow, not for your personal trainer, not for your detox junky or paleo/keto bff.
Ways to eat them
You know I wasn’t going to leave you hanging. Here are some amazing recipes to dive in to.
